Privacy Policy
We keep data collection to a minimum. Here's what that means in practice.
Analytics
We use PostHog, hosted on its EU Cloud, to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. PostHog sets a first-party cookie and a matching local storage entry holding a random id; it does not identify you by name. We record page views and clicks on our own links, including the 4-minute quiz described below.
Quiz screens are excluded from session recordings, so nothing you see or type there is ever replayed. IP-based location is not requested for quiz events.
The quiz
The 4-minute quiz on this site is optional and answering it does not require signing up anywhere. Your answers are kept in your browser's session storage only, and are gone once you close the tab; we never store them on a server. When you answer that you are under 18, the quiz ends immediately. We record one anonymous count that the quiz was stopped, with no age or any other answer, and then switch off analytics in this browser, including on the rest of the site. The quiz stays closed in every tab until you close the browser.
What we do send to PostHog is limited to which option or range you picked for most questions, never a free-text answer and never an exact dollar amount. We never send your answers about your boundaries, your reasons for considering camming, your fears, your privacy needs, your personal pains, or your current income; for those questions we only record that a question was answered. If you tell us someone is pressuring you, that answer is never sent either, and we do not send any event about seeing that screen or what you did on it.
We also run a fixed experiment on this site: which version of the quiz, if any, you're offered. That assignment is stored in a cookie named cmw_qx, kept for one year, so you see the same version on repeat visits.
Country lookup
Before showing the quiz we look up your country through our own /api/geo endpoint, so we can show a notice about local law instead of the quiz in places where webcam work is illegal. That lookup is not stored; the result only lives in your browser for the current session.
Affiliate tracking
When you click a link to a camming platform, that platform may set cookies to attribute your sign-up to us so we can earn a referral commission. This is standard affiliate tracking and is handled by the destination platform under its own privacy policy.
Before sending you on, our own server logs that the click happened: which page it came from, which experiment arm you were in, and your PostHog id if you have one. We do not log your IP address for this.
Cookies and local storage
Besides the PostHog cookie above, we use:

These are cleared when you close the tab.
We do not sell your personal information.
Email (optional)
On some pages the quiz can offer to email you a 7-day getting-started plan. This step only exists when we've turned it on, and giving your email is always optional; skipping it does not stop you from finishing the quiz. If you give your email and consent, we send it to our email provider only to deliver that plan and related guides, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails.
Third parties
Links to external platforms are governed by those platforms' own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. We are not responsible for the practices of sites we link to.
Telegram bot
If you use our Telegram bot, Telegram shares your public profile name, username and language with us. Messages you send to the bot are passed to our consultant only to answer you. Payments are processed by Telegram; we never see your payment details. Bot analytics use a hashed identifier, not your Telegram account id.
